The famous "dry-lipped" park bench photo of Dylan (below) was taken by Fred McDarrah in 1965, probably in Christopher Park. (Thanks to the site visitor who wrote to correct the photographer's name; I had incorrectly credited it to Daniel Kramer.) It is commonly captioned as Sheridan Square but the Sheridan Square Viewing Garden is a tiny triangle (?) of flowers devoid of benches. In fact you cannot even enter Sheridan Square as it is completely fenced off. A site visitor writes that the Sheridan Square Viewing Garden was just a paved area in the 1960s and I suspect that then, as now, Christopher Park was commonly referred to as "Sheridan Square". The number on the map refers to Christopher Park, which is the photo at the bottom left.
