now a falafel joint MacDougal Street and Minetta Lane Founded in March 1957 by Izzy Young, the Folklore Center was ground zero for the West Village folk scene. Dylan spent much time here playing instruments, listening to albums, meeting other musicians, and writing songs on Young's typewriter. |
